Sega Enterprises imported Rock-Ola jukeboxes as an early component of their growing amusement business.

This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Jukeboxes were an important factor in Sega Enterprises' domestic business strategy. While the company had once produced its own jukebox, the Sega 1000, it also imported a great number of machines from American manufacturer Rock-Ola.

History

During the late 1960s and 1970s, Sega was responsible for the Japanese distribution of jukeboxes created by the American firm Rock-Ola. By 1969, Sega had delivered about 5,000 machines across the country.
