Choose court
After the second player has been selected for your team (but before the "Tonight's Matchup" screen), hold one of the following to play the game on a specific court (a sound should confirm if entered correctly):
- + TURBO : Use the left team's court
- + TURBO : Use the right team's court
- + TURBO : Island court
- + TURBO : Street court
- + SHOOT PASS : Midway court
- + SHOOT PASS : NBC Sports court
Player codes
NBA Showtime has many secret players which can be used in the "create player" menu. Set the name and the PIN to the values below, and you will be playing as the character (regardless of which team you choose) when the game starts.

Vs. screen special codes
As with several other Midway arcade games, "special codes" can be set on the "Tonight's Matchup" screen. There are three digits manipulated by pressing TURBO (left), SHOOT (middle) and PASS (right). You must then press a direction button:
