Kouchuu Ouja Mushiking: Greatest Champion e no Michi (甲虫王者ムシキング ~グレイテストチャンピオンへの道~) is a Game Boy Advance game derived from the Kouchuu Ouja Mushiking arcade series. A Nintendo DS adaption, Kouchuu Ouja Mushiking: Greatest Champion e no Michi DS was released later in the year. Both versions came with the Masters Card, not released in the game singly.
Due of the system limitations, the beetles' animations were made with sprites instead of 3D models (that's why the game is so big for Game Boy Advance stands).
Contents
Gameplay
Instead of scanning cards (like the original arcade), the players own a card every time they use the coin for battling with the computer (except if it is used in the championships).
When a new save file is being created, the player must choose the gender, the name (the default name of the male character is Kento and the female one is Ai) and the birthday of the character.
SELECT allows the players to check their own cards or erase their saved data (only on save data selection screen).
and switches the type of writing (name enter screen only).
The D-Pad selects a type of attack: selects a hit attack, select a pinch attack and selects a throw attack.
If the player decide to turn the power of the console off during the battle from the main story, after it load the saved data, it automatically loses the battle.
