Saturn version

Level skip

At the main menu, press:

  • NTSC-U/PAL: B A B Y Down Right A L Down (BABYSEALS (if you treat Down as "south" and Right as "east")).
  • Japan: B Up Z Z B A B Y (BUZZBABY)

During play, hold L+Up to advance a level or L+Down to go back a level.

Level skip and free movement mode

At the main menu, press:

  • NTSC-U/PAL: Down Right X Y Left Right A Down Right L (SEXYWEASEL).
  • Japan: Right A Down Right A Down Y (EASEASY)

During play, hold L+Up to advance a level or L+Down to go back a level. Hold Y to move upwards and combine with the d-pad to move in other directions.

Level select (Japan only)

L A B Z A X (LABZAX)

The equivalent code for NTSC-U/PAL C A B A L C R Right Left (CABALCREW) is still present in the binary but the level select itself has been disabled.[1]

On the about window, hold  Shift  and left click Bug's black pupil on the icon. This will display an edit box. Type "babyseals", click "Wow!" and an unlabelled menu will become available in the menu bar. The following features can be toggled from this menu:

  • Level Skip: Press crouch + up to advance a level or crouch + down to go back a level.
  • Flying Bug: Enables free movement mode. Hold Y to move upwards and combine with the arrow keys to move in other directions.
  • Invincibility: Bug cannot be harmed and passes through enemies and obstacles. Bug also cannot lose a life by falling off the level but will be trapped unless free movement mode is used.
  • Hitpoints: Bug cannot be harmed by enemies and obstacles but is still knocked backwards and flashes when he touches one. Bug still loses a life when falling off the level.
