Velocity is an unreleased Sega Saturn game co-developed by Cave Logic Studios and PF Magic. In development for several years and intended for a possible release by Virgin Games around 1996 or 1997[2], the game was never actually announced, and was ultimately cancelled for unknown reasons.

“ | After Ballz, Cave Logic worked with PF.Magic on a 3D game originally for the Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn called Velocity. For many reasons, that project took several years and was eventually canceled. Cave Logic became Recombinant Limited, and we used the same 3D engine (which we called World Foundry) to start on a project for MGM Interactive called Cyberthug. But a few months into that, MGM Interactive was canceled by MGM, so that game didn't get finished, either. By that time, I had about had it with the game industry, so [I] went and got a programming job doing embedded control systems instead (and never looked back). | „ |
Velocity began development around 1994 for the PlayStation, with the Saturn being considered the secondary target platform. At one point, developer Will Norris edited together a minute-long promotional video to present to Virgin Games[1][3], although it is not known what came of this Despite having a working 3D engine and a number of playable stages, the game would ultimately never see release. The engine, known as World Foundry would later be reused in the (also-unreleased) game Cyberthug[3], before being shared online by its creator Kevin Seghetti as an open source game development kit.[4]
