Carnage is an unreleased Sega Mega-CD isometric action strategy game developed by FutureScape Productions and slated to be published by Crystal Dynamics[1] around 1994. According to the game's artist Rick Lucey, the game "was cancelled just as it was inching towards production", with the project being permanently shelved in February 1994.[1]

Plot

CARNAGE was an action/strategy game in a science fiction setting. This game was being created in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics for the Sega CD. It would be the last project I would work on at Futurescape. I created conceptual art and 3D art which was used for screen mockups. This game was cancelled just as it was inching towards production.

Gameplay

Existing storyboards show Carnage being played from an isometric perspective by a single protagonist, who has access to a variety of tactical abilities, items, and opportunities to take cover.
