{{sub-stub}}'''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' is a third-person shooting game for the [[Sega Master System]]. It follows the story of John and Jack, two commandos (who for reason don't wear anything above their waists) attempt to bring down a terrorist organization. Of the two, John has a striking resemblance to John Rambo, a character portrayed by Sylvester Stallone.

Double Hawk is a rail shooter game which plays very similar to arcade game Cabal. Players must use their crosshairs to eliminate waves of enemies until the enemy bar in the status screen dissappears. Players also supplied with grenades to attack enemies. Each stage is divided into several parts and a boss is waiting at the end of each stage.

''Double Hawk'' is a rail shooter game that plays similarly to the arcade game ''Cabal''. The game is shown from a third-person perspective, with the commandos appearing on the bottom of the screen while enemies run across the top of the screen like a shooting gallery. The commandos are armed with machine guns, and players must guide their crosshairs to eliminate waves of enemies, which include foot soldiers, armored vehicles, and helicopters. Missions are divided into four scenes, and each scene is a single backdrop with no scrolling. The first three scenes of a mission end when the timer, shown as a bar in the top center of the screen, is completely emptied, and the last scene is a boss encounter. The game supports two-player cooperative play, with player one controlling John (who resembles John Rambo) and player two controlling Jack.

Game has several power ups. "R" symbol gives you a rapid firing machinegun, while "S" symbol gives you a shotgun with a large crosshair. "B" symbol increases number of grenades you hold.
+
Each commando can move along the bottom of the screen with {{left}} and {{right}}, which also moves the crosshair relative to the commando. The crosshair can be moved independently of the commando by moving the D-Pad while holding {{1}}. Commandos can collect hand bombs (grenades), which are aimed using the same crosshairs and thrown with {{2}}. Bombs do more damage, and they especially effective against vehicles.

Game supports two-player co-op but with a somewhat unusual design: Whenever a player loses all of his/her lives, ''he/she starts using other player's lives'', which leads to annoyance between players.
+
The player loses a life when the commando is shot by an enemy. In two-player games, if a commando is shot when the player has no extra lives left, the player uses the other player's lives. The game ends if both players run out of lives but can be continued from the beginning of the current mission (with the score reset).

Double Hawk is a third-person shooting game for the Sega Master System.

Story

In the early 1990s, a group of international terrorists is terrorizing innocent people worldwide. Two seasoned commandos, John Jackson and Jack Thomas, go into battle to eradicate the threat.

Gameplay

Double Hawk is a rail shooter game that plays similarly to the arcade game Cabal.

Each commando can move along the bottom of the screen with Left and Right, which also moves the crosshair relative to the commando. The crosshair can be moved independently of the commando by moving the D-Pad while holding 1. Commandos can collect hand bombs (grenades), which are aimed using the same crosshairs and thrown with 2. Bombs do more damage, and they especially effective against vehicles.

The player loses a life when the commando is shot by an enemy. In two-player games, if a commando is shot when the player has no extra lives left, the player uses the other player's lives. The game ends if both players run out of lives but can be continued from the beginning of the current mission (with the score reset).
