Master code
A master code must first be entered to allow cheat input, and can be activated one of two ways: either by holding ++ while booting the game, or by holding ++ at the title screen and pressing START .[1]
Sudden death mode
After inputting the master code, pressing + START at the title screen unlocks a sudden death mode with limited time and health.[1]
Unlock all characters
After inputting the master code, pressing + START at the title screen unlocks all characters.[1]
Debug mode
After inputting the master code, pressing either + START or + START unlocks all characters, disables the timer, changes the practice mode control screen, and turns off damage from opponents.[1]
Animation viewer
After inputting the master code and unlocking debug mode, pressing + START while in a match will activate an animation viewer with the following controls:[1]
- Holding ++ and moving the D-pad rotates the player character.
- Holding ++ and moving the D-pad rotates the opponent.
PC content
Load the disc into a Windows PC, and in the /SV directory lies a file, KARATEDO.LZH. This is an archive containing an X68000 game, "Karatedo" (空手道) made by Savaki programmer Nishio Kozo, as well as its source code, and the source code to editors, letting you modify the game.
Karatedo is a simple 2D fighting game that requires a joystick to play.
