The Typing of the Dead: Overkill is an entry in the The Typing of the Dead series.

Similar to the original The Typing of the Dead borrowing ideas from The House of the Dead 2 and The Typing of the Dead 2 being inspired by The House of the Dead III, The Typing of the Dead: Overkill is presented in a similar style from The House of the Dead: Overkill. It was the first new The Typing of the Dead game to be released in western territories since the original game in 1999.
