Turrican is a run-and-gun game by Rainbow Arts on the Commodore 64. Rainbow Arts licensed Accolade to make console ports — but the only one was an unlicensed Sega Mega Drive port released 1991.
Five Rainbow Arts employees would leave and form Factor 5, bought the rights to the franchise, and continued to allow Accolade to hold its license — consequently, each of the game's two sequels also appeared on the Mega Drive, but renamed (Universal Soldier and Mega Turrican, respectively).
