Tomsoft is the development alias of Chinese programmer Tommy Xie, a former programmer of Dragon Co. who developed SDKs for the Famicom and Sega Mega Drive and would make his own games sometime after leaving around the turn of the century. He left the unlicensed games industry in the mid-2000s and released his Mega Drive SDK to the public in 2008 (ironically by request of Super Fighter Team head Brandon Cobb) and has since moved on to start a graphics software company.
