+ | ::::There's a difference between all three of those... This game was a free ROM developed by someone who does some amount of research. Pier Solar is a commercial game with money being thrown at it. The MDEM's First demo.. is just that =P Anyway my point is how we would classify homebrew... especially since the 8-bit Sega world probably has more! Therefore my question now is: should the main Mega Drive Games category contain these homebrew games or not? - [[User:Andlabs|Andlabs]] 14:40, 3 June 2011 (CDT) |

Should we cover free homebrew? That would probably be a nigtmare =P If so, should it also be listed among the commercial games? - Andlabs 14:03, 3 June 2011 (CDT)
- I'd only cover a homebrew game if it's something exceptional or very well-known. - Hivebrain 14:21, 3 June 2011 (CDT)
- As long as it's "notable" I'd go with it. This is a game about Pringles... that's pretty notable. It's the hacks and unfinished crap that don't need representing. But it's not wise to rule them out altogether since there's various home-made test ROMs which might come in handy for emulator developers or whatever.
- I do think more effort should go into cracking down on the tens of thousands of official games, rather than hunting out homebrew though. -Black Squirrel 14:23, 3 June 2011 (CDT)
