Gameplay

Total Football is a football game played from an isometric perspective. A passes, B shoots. The game lacks any official licensing or branding, so resorts to national teams and unnamed players.

The game contains 60 player moves and 5,000 frames of animation[1].

Development

Originally both Mega Drive and Super NES versions of Total Football were planned, the Super NES version having an entirely different engine.

Release

At launch, the game was sponsored by Les Ferdinand, although the striker does not appear in-game[1].
