The Sega 32X port of Rayman is an unreleased conversion of the Atari Jaguar game Rayman. It was announced by Ubisoft as one of five versions of the game for "next generation consoles", alongside the Jaguar, 3DO, PlayStation and Sega Saturn conversions (the very first builds being targeted at the Super NES, but this (very different) Rayman had been cancelled at this point). However, only three of the five (and a later Windows PC version) were released, with both the 32X and 3DO ports scrapped for unknown reasons.
Rayman was originally announced as an Atari Jagauar exclusive at the tail-end of 1994, however was repeatedly delayed throughout 1995. Ubisoft began talking about a 32X conversion around February 1995, expecting the Jaguar version to be released around late March or early April, with PlayStation and Saturn versions subsequently announced (and the 3DO version some months later). Cartridge versions set to arrive in June and CD-ROM versions in September[1].
In the end, the Jagauar version did not arrive until just days before the PlayStation launch in North America (1995-09-09; Rayman being a launch title), with the Saturn version coming some weeks later (and PC the following year). It was over the summer of 1995 that the 32X and 3DO versions were quietly dropped from the release schedule.
The 32X version got far enough through development to appear in an early playable form at E3 1995, but despite being mentioned in advertising, has not been seen since.
