Sega Park & Casino Colindale, formerly known as SegaDome, was an indoor Sega Park arcade centre located in the Oriental City shopping centre (previously Yaohan Plaza) in Colindale, London. The main entrance of the shopping centre featured a large image of Sonic the Hedgehog.

History and Layout

SegaDome was part of Yaohan Plaza ever since the centre opened in 1994. The venue was made to be like a smaller version of its sister venue Sega World Bournemouth. It featured white walls decorated with flags of the world decorating the top, alongside painted murals of Sega characters like Sonic and Tails, and even third-party characters like Cool Spot on the sides of the walls. Many different arcade machines were placed all around the venue, and nearer to the right of the entrance was a BowlEasy mini bowling alley. During its first few years, the venue was also home to a R-360.

The venue remained in this guise until at least the end of 1999. Afterwards, the venue was refurbished and renamed as a Sega Park. Some changes included the addition of a Sonic-themed carpet, and the removal of the murals. By 2001, Leisure Exchange had taken over the venue as with the other Sega Parks, and rebranded the venue as "Sega Park & Casino". With this change, many of the video games were removed and replaced with gambling machines, a pool table, penny pushers, claw machines and other equipment that fit in Leisure Exchange's criteria. one claw machine in particular sat outside the entrance. However, nowhere between the rebranding and the closure was the venue ever refurbished, in which by 2007, the venue and the shopping centre itself were becoming increasingly rundown and tatty. For Sega Park in particular, with machines were broken and dirty with exposed fans above them and poorly-lit lights that were never repaired, it gave the arcade a very dorm-lit feel.

The venue continued to decline alongside the then-named Oriental City until June 1, 2008, when it was closed despite campaigns by the local East Asian community. The building sat abandoned for years until it was demolished in August 2014. A Morrisons Supermarket now sits in the area where the centre used to stand.
