Similar to the US Model
JP Sega "Kids Computer Pico" | キッズコンピュータ・ピコ
Original Japanese model. The main difference between this model and US models is a add-on controller port and SRAM saving.
There is no known region or console-version protection in either US or JP Pico systems.
JP Sega "Kids Communication Pico" | キッズコミュニケーション・ピコ
Streamlined relaunch model. The majority of JP Titles were released under this line. http://www.segatoys.co.jp/eng/item02.html
JP Yamaha "MIXT BOOK PLAYER COPERA" | ミクストブックプレーヤ コペラ
Model with additional FM Sound, Microphone and MIDI support for music composition. Info can be found at http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/rig_veda/47704394.html
JP Imagineer "Hirameki Mirai Kids" | 育脳塾
Similar to the Kids Computer model, this was marketed by Imaginner and has more eveb nire if a slant towards edutainment than the Kids Computer Pico. To compare, while Sonic the Hedgehog's Gameworld and Tails and the Music Maker were both released in the same line on US Pico systems, the former was released on the Kids Computer Pico while the latter was on the Hirameki Mirai Kids in Japan..
