The Sega Seal of Quality Awards was an award ceremony organised by Sega of America to commemorate third-party publishers which qualified for the Sega Seal of Quality. The events were featured prominently in Sega Visions.
The awards began in 1993 (celebrating products released in 1992) and ran for at least two years. It is not currently known when the event ceased to exist - Sega Visions went out of print in late 1995, but Seals of Quality were still awarded to games in North America up until 1999 with the arrival of the Sega Dreamcast. However, third-party support would have been greatly reduced 1996 and 1997 when the Sega Saturn failed to capture a lion's share of the market, so the event may have been made redundant before then.
Though Sega of America made physical awards, it is not known whether these were presented to publishers, or just used as a marketing showpiece.
