Rare Ltd., previously known as Rareware, is a british development studio that has created several promenient games across multiple systems. It once developed games nearly exclusive to Nintendo before being bought out by Microsoft during the original X-box era. Since its Microsoft acquisition it has developed less well-recieved games over time including Perfect Dark Zero and Grabbed by the Ghoulies.
Rare Ltd. has developed several well-known game series such as Battletoads, Donkey Kong Country, Perfect Dark, and Banjo-Kazooie.
Rare Ltd. has also developed a few titles for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear.
