Bad Influence! was a UK magazine television show featuring video games and computer technology. Hosted by Andy Crane and Violet Berlin, the show was broadcast between October 1992 and January 1996 on ITV.[1] Unlike its gameshow-oriented contemporaries, GamesMaster and Games World, Bad Influence! was purely factual, providing reviews, news reports, and tips/cheats.
Though foremostly aimed towards young children (and presented by them, in some segments), the show received critical acclaim in its home country alongside GamesMaster for their television coverage of video games during the early 1990s, and is believed to have been one of ITV's highest rated children's programmes for three of its four series.[2]
Notable features relating to Sega filmed for the programme include reports from Sega of Japan's headquarters and Roppongi GiGO in December 1992,[3] and Sega of America's in 1994 for pre-release footage of 32X games.[4] The Scorpion XVI version of the KW-501 clone console also received coverage.[5]
