Project X Zone (プロジェクト クロスゾーン) (pronounced "Project Cross Zone") is a tactical RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. It was developed by Banpresto and published by Namco Bandai Games in the latter half of 2012. Project X Zone is notable for being a crossover game, combining franchises of Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega.
Project X Zone features both "pair units" which are controlled by the player, and "solo units" which can act as assists. From the Sega side of things, pair units include Kurt Irving and Riela Marceris from Senjou no Valkyria 3, two pairs from Sakura Taisen; Ichiro Ogami and Sakura Shinguji and Gemini Sunrise and Erica Fontaine, Akira Yuki and Pai Chan from Virtua Fighter, Toma and Cyrille from Shining Force EXA and Zephyr and Leanne from Resonance of Fate.
Solo units include Imca from Senjou no Valkyria 3, Ulala from Space Channel 5, Vashyron from Resonance of Fate, Bruno Delinger from Dynamite Deka, Rikiya Busujima from Zombie Revenge and Bahn from Fighting Vipers. These solo units can also call the Harrier from Space Harrier, Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone and Scooter from Alien Storm.
