Wonder Boy in Monster World (Wonder Boy V Monster World III (ワンダーボーイＶ　モンスターワールドＩＩＩ) in Japan) is the fifth game in the Wonder Boy series and a direct sequel to Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Master System in 1991 and 1993 respectively. It also exists for the TurbografX-CD in the form of The Dynastic Hero, though this version lacks all Wonder Boy branding.

Wonder Boy in Monster World was the last title in the series to be released in English, and the first game in which the player does not play as "Wonder Boy". Instead, he/she plays as "Shion", who must save Monster World from the evil BioMeka.

Both Wonder Boy in Monster World (Mega Drive) and The Dynastic Hero have been released for the Wii's Virtual Console service. As they both cost the same in the west, and the latter has CD audio, The Dynastic Hero is seen as a superior purchase.
