Last Hope is a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed by German independant developer NG:DEV.TEAM for the Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo CD, and Sega Dreamcast. The Dreamcast version was released commercially in January of 2007, several years after mainstream Dreamcast support had been dropped.
The game plays very similarly to R-Type, though was heavily criticised upon release for being extremely difficult. This prompted the release of Last Hope: Pink Bullets - which was tweaked to make the game easier.
Last Hope is region-free, and therefore can be played on any Dreamcast system.
