Yonezawa

From Sega Retro

According to the Sega Toys Website (both Japanese and English versions)... Sega Toys was established in February 1991... Well... in February 1991 S'Pal (エスパル), also know as Espal , a subsidiary of Yonezawa Toys Co. Ltd (ヨネザワ), a video game development company, was created... their games were published under the label Yonezawa PR21 (pay attention to ヨネザワ/ エスパル (yonezawa/ S'Pal, Espal) written in the box of this game... in 1994 an uncommon thing happened... Espal absorbed Yonezawa Toys (yep... the Parent Company was merged into its subsidiary)... a few months latter Sega acquired Espal and established Sega-Yonezawa (with video games development for the Pico in mind... this means that Espal was probably the first company to develop games for Pico, and we have to remember tha Sega was already selling toys in the 80's so its interest in Yonezawa was not just the toys... I'm open to criticism (in a frendly maner..of course... we don't need to kill each other)... but February 1991 is mentioned there... what you guys think of it?--Asagoth (talk) 07:08, 23 September 2018 (CDT)
