Hidden information

Pause the game, move the cursor to a blank area and press . This will show the selected difficulty, current player coordinates and the build date.

Invincibility

Enter "IMMORTAL" as a password for in-game invincibility. "MORTAL00" will turn it off.

All weapons

Enter "ARSENALS" as a password.

Infinite ammo

Enter "SUPERJAB" as a password.

No collision

Enter "ETHEREAL" as a password. Now you can walk through scenery and objects without issue.

Play as Red Hunter

Enter "REDHUNTR" as a password. This will replace the player's sprite with one of the NPC characters that helps you during normal play.

Level select

Enter "MAGICBOX" or "HUTCHINS" (named after Sega of America producer Steve Hutchins) as a password.

Recording and playback

Enter "RECPLAY0" as a password. This will allow you to record demos of gameplay and play them back.

Watch the computer fight itself

Enter "ARENACY0" as a password. When starting the game, the computer will spawn teams of random players and enemies in an arena and have them automatically fight each other. Usually the big dinosaurs win.

Combat mode

Enter "CIVILWAR" as a password. Both players will be placed in an arena with spawning objects, and the first to ten kills wins.

Alternative menu

A different, possibly debugging menu can be activated by entering "REVOEMAG" as a password. This combines a level select, 1 or 2 player selector and demo recording function into one simplistic menu.

Developer messages

A number of passwords bring up special developer messages and most unlock the level select.

DAVIDHIL

A nod to level editor and designer David Hill, who apparently was the best player at Quake.

EDDIEBCK

This one does not activate level select.

EMOKE000

"Emo a legravaszabb kutyus a vilagon", roughly translated as "Emo is the most cheerful dog in the world".

FRANKIE0

GYOZIKE0

"Hi Judit!" in Hungarian.

JASONFRI

A nod to level editor Jason Friedman.

MACIMACI

"Maci a legszebb bobtail kutyus a vilagon", roughly translated as "Maci is the most beautiful bobtail puppy in the world"
