Saturn version

Play as Carbuncle

In the 2-player mode, hold  START  while highlighting Arle for a few seconds. This will cause Carbuncle to appear in the top left, who can be selected.

Play as Satan

In the 2-player mode, hold  START  while highlighting Schezo for a few seconds. This will cause Satanto appear in the top right, who can be selected.

Swap characters

In the 2-player mode, hold  START  while highlighting Draco Centauros for a few seconds. This will cause the two players' cursors to be reversed, so player 1 will get player 2's character, and vice versa.

Random characters

In the 2-player mode, hold  START  while highlighting Rulue for a few seconds. This will cause the the cursors to rapidly switch between characters, forcing the players to pick random ones.

Make everyone Zoh Daimaoh

In the 2-player mode, hold  START  while highlighting Zoh Daimaoh for a few seconds. This will turn everyone into Zoh Daimaoh, so you can only play as Zoh Daimaoh.

Date-specific artwork

Unique artwork is unlocked if Puyo Puyo Sun is played on certain days of the year. Known working days include 1st January, 5th May and the 24th of any month. Once the art is unlocked it will remain so as long as a save game exists in memory.
