Although the Master System version of Cloud Master was not released in Japan, there is programming to display the Sega logo before the title screen if the game detects it is being played on a Japanese system.
Cheat mode
On the title screen, press 
.
Now, during gameplay, pause and press:
and 
to adjust the number of lives you have
to turn on invincibility and 
to turn it off
+ to increase firepower- + to toggle secondary fire
+ to skip to the next level- + to restart the level
- + to skip to the boss
