Mega Drive version

Extra options

On the main menu, press . This will enable an "extra options" menu.

Fergus Head cameo

From the "extra options" menu, enabling the option "Okay, right?" and then playing a stage as the character Diablo will result in his followers being replaced with a single sprite of a small red devil bearing the digitized face of Probe Software founder Fergus McGovern - the Fergus Head. It will jump in celebration at the conclusion of the player's match, and additionally changes its color palette to match Diablo's selected color variation.

Bowling mini-game

Play a 2 player game with both players playing as Armadon. Both players should simultaneously use the ‘spinning death’ special move so that they collide while spinning. Successfully doing this three times in a row will trigger the bowling minigame. Alternatively, enable the 'Play Bowling Game' option in the 'Extra Options' menu and start a new game.

The message 'BOWLING!' will appear on the screen, a score board will appear and the players can now play a round of bowling with the humans as the pins.

Raining cows easter egg

Play as Chaos on the 'Ruins' stage. Both players should win a round and on the deciding round, allow the timer to count down with both players having an equal amount of health in order to force 'sudden death'. Just before the final round ends, execute the 'fart of fury' special move such that the green cloud is still visible when the timer hits 0. Now when sudden death begins, cows will rain down from the sky instead of the usual fireballs.

Alternate player colours

On the character select screen, hold + START  or + START  or + START  to select your character. Each combination enables a different colour scheme for your character.

Cheat menu

On the title screen, press , lightning will flash at the top of the screen if entered correctly. A 'cheat' menu will now be added to the main menu below the 'statistics' option. Entering the title screen code a second time will disable the menu.

Volleyball mini-game

Play a 2 player game on Sauron's stage, 'The Cove'. When a human runs out in front of the player (this normally occurs after landing a combo), attack the human to knock them into the air. The second player should then attack the human before they hit the ground to keep them in the air. Knock the human back and forth four consecutive times to trigger the volleyball minigame.

The message 'VOLLEYBALL!' will appear on the screen, a judge on a high chair and net will appear and you can now play volleyball by continuing to hit the human back and forth.

Combo easter egg

Execute a combo of at least four hits, causing at least 35% damage to cause a flash of lightning to trigger during a battle.
