Akira Nagai (永井 明) is a Japanese businessman and former Sega of Japan director and executive.[1] He joined predecessor company Nihon Goraku Bussan in 1963, initially working in jukebox and machine sales, before moving to amusement facility and theme park management.[2]
In 2001, he became representative director of Sega's amusement businesses,[3] retiring three years later amidst the Sega Sammy Holdings merger in 2004.[4]
Nagai makes a cameo in Shenmue as the yakuza boss of the same name, with his in-game character greatly resembling his actual appearance.
