Satoshi Oike (尾池 智史) is a composer, sound designer and singer at Sega of Japan. He is best known for his work on Wonderland Wars.

Education

Satoshi Oike originally studied architecture at university, but was also active in bands that played both Japanese and Western music, and wanted to pursue a career in music. Believing he needed specialized training, he enrolled in a music school after graduating university.[3] He also worked a part-time job in customer service.[2]

Career

Wanting to work on a diverse assortment of games, Satoshi Oike considered various video game development companies that had in-house sound teams, and chose Sega. He had been told that it was a company that adopted new technologies early, such as being one of the first to enter the mobile industry.[3] At Sega, he not only created songs, but would offer opinions on the games he worked on, possibly affecting their design.[4]

Oike joined Sega in 2015, and was soon involved with the various updates of Wonderland Wars, as well as composing a few songs to Chain Chronicle. In 2017, 3 years after joining Sega, he had become a sound lead and supervisor for Wonderland Wars.[4][5]
