Mega Drive version
The Western versions include a ™ symbol next to the Sega logo.
The "LIFE" indicator got changed into "VITALITY" for the Western versions.
Melon Pan's name was changed to Melon Bread.
Curry Rice's name was changed to Curry and Rice.
The "CONGRATULATION" message at the end of Black's Maze was pluralised.
A typo with Duck Battalion's name was corrected.

The logo does not spin in the Game Gear version.
Options
The Game Gear version only features three levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal and Hard; with Easy being the default one.
Player select
Stage select
The stage select only displays one monitor at a time. Black's stage is completely absent in the Game Gear version. The player starts with his gem already collected.
