When the title screen appears, the rotation of the game's title can be reversed by pressing Down, even after pressing  START , so long as it doesn't stop rotating.

In Stage 6, the player is challenged by Timeron (a mini-boss from Black's stage) to see how long they can last against a seemingly-endless shower of homing bullets with a timer displayed on-screen. This challenge is completely optional and can be stopped at any time by shooting Timeron. However, if the player were to somehow survive for 100 in-game minutes, Timeron will give up and self-destruct, and a hidden message will be displayed on-screen. Afterwards, the player is awarded a Soul Bonus of 930,410 points.[1]

"NAMI" refers to Hideyuki Suganami, the game's designer and enemy programmer.
