The Sega RingEdge (リングエッジ) is an arcade board developed by Sega. It is one half of the Ring family of hardware, the other being RingWide. Both hardwares are the second from Sega of Japan to use PC architecture, replacing the Linux-based operating system of its predecessor (Lindbergh) with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009. It debuted with Border Break in Japan.
Of its titles, only Virtua Tennis 4 was released into Western territories, with all others remaining in Japan and Asia (although Sega Card-Gen MLB 2009 was briefly location tested in the US). Instead, more overseas releases used the lower-cost RingWide hardware.
