While the majority of Virtua Fighter's Saturn presentation was fraught with purposefully-chosen technical compromises, some of these issues appear to be unintended. In particular, whenever the game renders uncommon situations (such as two fighters being at the extreme opposite ends of the rings), certain combinations of unknown variables - such as the chosen characters - cause a number of rendering issues.[1][2] These include but are not limited to:

  • The majority of a character's polygons disappearing
  • Issues with polygon draw priorities
  • Thin streaks of shadow painted across the fighter and playfield
  • Disappearing backgrounds

Not fixed in any version.
