Aliens: Colonial Marines is a first-person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC, Nintendo DS and Wii U. It is scheduled for release in Spring 2012 and has been in development since 2006.
The game is based upon the 1986 Aliens film, revolving around a team of marines sent to search for the missing Lt. Ripley and the rest of the team from the film.
