Mirrorsoft got into financial troubles when its owner Robert Maxwell was found dead in November 1991, with the business being purchased by Acclaim Entertainment in early 1992[4][5]. Acclaim retired the Mirrorsoft brand but kept the Arena name in use (alongside Flying Edge) until 1994, when it too was retired in favour of Acclaim.
