Dracula no Shiro (ドラキュラの城, lit. "Drakula's Castle") is an aftermarket action game for the Sega Game Gear and Sega Mega Drive. The game was based on the original Game Boy version that was released way back in 2019. It was developed by Habit Soft and was released exclusively in Japan by Game Impact in 2021.

The Sega Mega Drive version adds few additional features such as improved graphics, PCM voice samples for the player character, FM BGM sound source, and support for the Retro Freak line of modern clone consoles. This version also includes two new game modes; the high-difficulty version of Another Dracula's Castle and 8-chan Man (rock-paper-scissors game).^[2]

Story

One day, when you were living a happy life in 8-bit world, Dracula suddenly appeared and Princess Psycho was kidnapped! Go to Dracula's Castle, fight the enemies, and regain peace!

Gameplay

Normal Mode

If the player takes all three treasure chests on the screen, the door to the next room will appear. The stage is cleared when the player enters the door.

There are three types of enemies; bats, werewolves, and mummies. Inside the treasure chest are a knife (weapon), a drop of Princess Psycho, and a mummy man. Mummy guys can't be defeated with a knife, they can only be defeated with the occasional Fire. However, since Fire can only be shot once, the player must be careful when using it (changes to a knife after the second shot). They must dodge the attacks of bats, werewolves, and mummy men who are aiming for them, and aim for Dracula's Room.

Another Dracula's Castle

The gameplay is the same like in the Normal Mode, but with a higher difficulty.
