History
It is a sequel to Zen Nihon Pro Wres Featuring Virtua, and like that game features characters from Virtua Fighter. It was only released in Japan. A year later, it would be followed up with Giant Gram 2000: Zen Nihon Pro Wres 3 Eikou no Yuushatachi in both the arcade and home markets.
This was the first NAOMI game to offer support for VMUs[6], therefore allowing data to be transferred to and from the Dreamcast version. A special branded VMU, HKT-7008-02, was released a couple of weeks before the home version and included the Giant Channel software bundled in. Said software could also be downloaded from the Dreamcast version, and allowed users to train a customized wrestler to use in the main game. Players could even vie for a "VM Champion" title with their custom character on the arcade machine, where the reigning top wrestler could be chosen in the character select menu and included in the attract mode.[7] Sega Logistics Service announced it would end service on the arcade machines on March 31, 2017.[8][9]
