SIMS Co., Ltd. (シムス株式会社) (Soft development Innovation Multi Success) is a Japanese video game developer and joint venture between Sega and Sanritsu.
Company
SIMS was founded on June 12, 1991 as a joint venture between Sega and Sanritsu, with Sanritsu transferring 50 employees to SIMS upon its creation, and with Sega managing the studio and company.
On June 24, 2004, president Noboru Machida purchased the entirety of the company's stock and established SIMS as an independent game developer.
