Gun Survivor 2: Biohazard CODE:Veronica (ガンサバイバー2 バイオハザード コード:ベロニカ) is a light gun spinoff of Biohazard CODE:Veronica jointly produced by Capcom and Namco. It was released in 2001 on the Sega NAOMI arcade platform in Japan and Europe, where it was released in the latter territory under the Biohazard name rather than the Resident Evil branding normally used for the series in the west.[1] The game was originally titled Biohazard: Fire Zone during location testing,[2] before ultimately being retitled Gun Survivor 2 due to the existence of a prior Biohazard-themed light gun game for the original PlayStation titled Biohazard: Gun Survivor.[3]
A PlayStation 2 port was released in Japan and the PAL region, where it was titled Resident Evil Survivor 2: CODE: Veronica in the latter territory. Capcom would use the Gun Survivor branding for two additional light gun games also for the PS2.
