Beast In Darkness

“Holographic Ghost Train”

Seeing posts describing this as a train/“rollercoaster”. At least three confidently describing it as a “simulator”. And another specifically referring to it as a “holographic ghost train”.

My initial impression was it was a big walk-through haunted house-type deal with like... spooky atmospheric sound effects? I wonder if people are getting it confused with Ghost Hunters? Either way, this ride has intruiged me more than it should. Just thoughts CartridgeCulture (talk) 06:40, 29 April 2021 (EDT)

i think only the holographic stuff was exclusively for Ghost Hunters/a misunderstanding of the ride's tech - from what i've read, Beast in Darkness definitely combined a haunted house walkthrough type area with a typical ghost train afterwards. the Joypolis Perfect Guide book (which 100% needs to be found and scanned for better understandings and pictorial evidence of so many things) certainly indicates so with this photo of it
and don't worry, this stupid ride intrigues me too, if only for the fact that it amazes me how planners thought it was going to be a good first impression of SegaWorld London's "futuractive" attractions - what a poorly managed-yet beautiful farce that place was

Interesting. Apparently quite a few people have memories of the ride. I wonder, if we reached out on the forums/elsewhere for recollections, we could maybe piece together some of the ride’s structure and notable features.
As for SegaWorld London, I live in America so I never really got to experience anything on that level. And I’m so bummed. I wouldve killed to experience it at its prime. For better or worse ;) CartridgeCulture (talk) 03:30, 2 May 2021 (EDT)
