To do

  • Contextualize the unresponsive controls with rotoscoped animation, and it often being the inbuilt tradeoff for the smoothness.

Album connection?

What's the connection between this game and the Shaq album of the same(ish) name? I can't find many people linking them other than essentially what I've got written into the article; they were released a week and a half apart, and they were similarly-promoted. But what was this? Was this like- some like mid '90s media project or something? Is the game based off the album? Used to promote the album? Or vice versa? I think I can imagine a situation where Shaq had this kung fu album coming up and wanted a game to coincide with it, but I can also easily imagine one where just- the game was being turned into a fighting game and someone just came to the name Shaq Fu naturally? ("Its a Shaq fighting game." - "Fighting game, like those kung fu guys in the arcades?" - "Yeah like that. HEY, dude you just gave me the best idea for a name.") And then Shaq hears it and loves the name, and then goes on to base the name of his second rap album off the title of a video game? It's not overly important in the article's bigger picture, but it would help contextualize some things; notably where the name Shaq Fu derived from - album or game.
