Hong Kong

Cantonese is a somewhat different language to Mandarin, and has its own romanisation system (Jyutping is apparently the most popular, which is what I used on the House of the Dead II page). - Hivebrain (talk) 13:03, 3 February 2018 (CST)

Fair enough - I shall leave the Cantonese translations to you :P
I've been feeding things through Google Translate, and the results area bit wonky for some languages. I suspect a better plan for translations is to do something similar to what you've done with the track/tracklist templates - if I'd remembered that system existed last week, I would have unified the two styles -Black Squirrel (talk) 13:15, 3 February 2018 (CST)

Japanese translations

We can't go on with Penguin Land claiming its Japanese translation is "Heart-Pounding Penguin Land: Big Cosmic Adventure". "どきどき" is onomatopoeia and English doesn't support it - "Doki Doki" is the best you can get.

As such it's my intention at some point to drop the jp_rom field, because the translation is the romanisation. This will probably happen... at some point this week maybe -Black Squirrel (talk) 17:30, 14 March 2021 (EDT)
