Extra lives
During the game, press HOLD 
+

START to pause. Press HOLD 
START and release pause to increase the number of player. A maximum of 10 is possible[1].
Activate shield
During the game, press HOLD ++ START to pause. If you press HOLD 
START to release pause, you can put up a barrier[1].
