Super Spin is a cancelled top-down racing game being developed by Zyrinx in 1993 for the Sega Mega Drive. An early "preview version" prototype was dumped and released on Forest of Illusion on September 10, 2022.[1]
The prototype features one map and four cars, three of which are controlled by the computer. accelerates, and turn the car, and and switch between "gear 1" and "gear 2". The "race" is endless, and while some collision detection exists, cars travel at the same speed regardless of terrain (including water). A "co-op mode" can be accessed by pressing + START at the beginning of the title screen. There are no sound effects and just two music tracks (one in "single-player mode" and another in "co-op mode").
The tracks smoothly rotate and some objects have pseudo-3D look to them. This technology was likely recycled for the later Zyrinx game, Red Zone.
