How do you know Yoshiaki Kashima is Milpo? - Hivebrain 16:59, 7 February 2011 (CST)
Contents
Why Milpo is Yoshiaki Kashima
The worklist in the archived site below includes one key game: Seima Densetsu3X3Eyes http://www.mobygames.com/game/3x3-eyes-seima-densetsu
Music (音楽) Kaoru Wada (和田 薫), Yukifumi Makino (牧野幸文), Yoshiaki Kashima (香嶋良昭)
Milpo was also nice enough to include the CD soundtrack (KICA1123/1124) http://vgmdb.net/album/1558
The OST credits the three as follows on Booklet pg. 3:
作曲.編曲:和田 薫,みるぼ,MACKY [Compose & Arrange: Kaoru Wada, Mirubo, MACKY], which becomes
[Compose & Arrange: Kaoru Wada, Mirubo, Yukifumi Makino]
Therefore, Milpo/Mirubo = Yoshiaki Kashima
If you want to know why Naofumi Hataya is not the same person as Masayuki Nagao, read post #6 here: http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3515
- You might want to present this information here: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=8815&st=1755&start=1755 before doing any edits. Also the information on Masayuki Nagao is also being discredited there — we're looking for physical proof of their differences. Reverting until this is proven by other people. - Andlabs 21:52, 7 February 2011 (CST)
- Also, Naofumi Hataya IS uncredited as the composer of Ristar's jingles. - Andlabs 21:55, 7 February 2011 (CST)
Hataya page unlocked. Nagao page moved here. I'm going to move all the other pages here from Sonic Retro later. - Andlabs 07:44, 27 April 2011 (CDT)
Quick question
Do you know if any Sega music stuff was done by 5pb. ? Disregard how much of a role they had in it; anything goes. - Andlabs 20:09, 24 September 2011 (CDT)
- Never heard of them, and checking Wikipedia doesn't seem to point to anything immediately Sega-made. My opinion's no good, but I'm not seeing how the two can be connected.
- I'm just gonna say this now. I'm just an average guy that's learned everything he knows in this field thanks to the opportunities provided by the Net and have essentially learned everything I know now on the fly. Around this time two years ago I knew next to nothing about specific composer credits or anything beyond the (fairly mainstream) games I played. When it comes to the finer details like hardware components, the means of sound production or the producers and developers that make this stuff, you know infinitely more than I ever will. I honestly don't care about anything beyond the music unless it's a means to those ends. You'll never see a lime green bar (or even a magenta one) below my name. - E102 02:58, 25 September 2011 (EST)
Quick question 2: the questioning
Motor Raid - you've listed Akira Watanabe as a designer. Don't suppose you know whether it's the same as this Akira Watanabe - the bloke who did the Sonic cover art we all know and love. Because if he got a promotion around 1996/1997, it might explain why there was shift in cover art styles.
btw while I'm here don't be afraid of red links - I've noticed a lot of the credits you list only point to pages we've made (mainly sound guys). We'll be aiming to cover every developer ever employed by the company at some point - red links help us assess demand, so we know which people are the most "important". -Black Squirrel 15:43, 15 April 2012 (CDT)
