Nihon Kikai Seizou (日本機械製造, lit. Japan Machine Manufacturing Inc.[1][2][3]) was a successor to the manufacturing arm of Service Games, Japan, incorporated on the same day as Nihon Goraku Bussan (the distribution arm) in Japan. Nihon Kikai Seizou traded as Sega Inc.[4][5][6][7], the "Sega"[8][5][6][7] name being adopted from Service Games products.
Despite originally being split in 1960, Nihon Goraku Bussan would acquire Nihon Kikai Seizo in June 1964.
