There are five alternative music tracks for the main table, enabled by inputting the following passwords[2]:
Password | Description |
---|---|
OMAKEBGM00 | "Knights of Legend" from Thunder Force II. |
OMAKEBGM01 | "A Breach of Contract" from Herzog Zwei. |
OMAKEBGM02 | "Venus Fire" from Thunder Force III. |
OMAKEBGM03 | "Blood-Stained Lake" from Elemental Master. |
OMAKEBGM04 | "Etude of Wind" from Shin Kyuugyokuden (an MSX2 game). |
Time trial
Enter TIMETRIAL0 as a password for a "time trial" mode, in which you're given 99 balls and three minutes to score as many points as possible on the main table. Bonus Stages are turned off (with the game awarding points instead), as is the ability to pause and collect extra balls.
After three minutes, any bonuses are instantly collected and you're taken to a screen with your final score. The only way to continue playing is to reset the console. Curiously in the Western Dragon's Fury, the game is referred to here as "Devil Shock", the name of a cancelled arcade conversion.
The password TIMETRIAL1 does the same thing as TIMETRIAL0, but also disables the music.
PCM test
A hidden "PCM test" exists in the options menu. To re-enable it, use the Action Replay code FFF5DC:FFFF. There are only three samples, however.
