The Sega Keyboard (セガ・キーボード) SK-1100 is a keyboard add-on intended for the SG-1000 console, released only in Japan in 1984 alongside the SG-1000 II.
On its own, the SG-1000 shipped only with joysticks, but the nearly identical technology meant that it was compatible with the majority of SC-3000 computer games, which often relied on the SC-3000's keyboard. To compensate, Sega produced the SK-1100 keyboard add-on. However, when faced with the choice most Japanese customers went with the SC-3000 option, as this included everything needed straight out of the box.
The SK-1100 also included ports for the SP-400 printer and SR-1000 cassette recorder, allowing users to save their work.
