This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Dinobasher Starring Bignose the Caveman is a platform game developed by Optimus Software once set to be published by Codemasters for the Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear in 1993. Following poor reviews it was never released.

Dinobasher is unlike most other unreleased games, as not only was the game finished, but near-final cover and cartridge designs of the Master System version were produced and passed on to the gaming press. Prototypes (complete with packaging) have since been leaked onto the internet, in turn making faithful fan-made reproductions quite common (to the point where it is frequently mistaken to have received a legitimate public release).

Earlier versions for the Amiga, Atari ST and NES were released simply as Big Nose the Caveman in 1991. The NES version also recieved a sequel in the form of Big Nose Freaks Out in 1992.

History

During development, the Game Gear version was known under the working title of simply Dino Basher.[5]
