Kohei Yamashita (山下 浩平) is a Japanese video game designer. He joined Sega in 2003, debuting as the battle map lead for Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, reprising this role for Valkyria Chronicles, where he conceived and designed the unique "BLiTZ" system. He became chief game designer of Valkyria Chronicles II and 3. He then took on directional roles: chief director of Phantasy Star Nova, battle director of 7th Dragon III Code: VFD and chief director of Valkyria Chronicles 4. He has since provided development support for Sonic Team titles.
